Coming full circle

We've been together for six years, living in Denver, San Diego and now Jackson Hole. We both grew up on the East Coast, in New York and North Carolina, and moved west for the mountains, the outdoors and the skiing.

Noah proposed at Snake River Sporting Club, and we fell in love with the place and the people there. So we're coming full circle and getting married where it started.

Flying into the mountains

  • SLCSalt Lake City InternationalAbout 5 hours by car. Worth it if you'd like a road trip through the mountains.

Getting around

Rent a car if you can, and book it early: Jackson has a small rental fleet and September is busy. Taxis and ride shares exist but can be slow to arrive, especially out of town.

September in the mountains

  • September weather

    Days are usually sunny and in the 60s, and nights drop to near freezing. The ceremony and cocktails are outdoors, so bring a warm layer for the evening.

  • Altitude

    The valley sits above 6,000 feet. Drink plenty of water, go easy on your first day, and pack sunscreen: the sun is stronger up here.

  • Fall in the valley

    Mid September is when the aspens and cottonwoods start turning gold and the elk begin to bugle. It's one of the most beautiful times of year to be here.

  • Make a trip of it

    Grand Teton National Park starts just north of town, and Yellowstone's South Entrance is a little over an hour north of town. Park entrance fees apply; check nps.gov before you go.

When will the invitation arrive?

Formal invitations will follow by mail, with the full weekend schedule. For now, please save the date.

Should I book a room now?

If you know you're coming, yes. September is one of the busiest months in Jackson Hole. Our room block at Gravity Haus holds rooms until Tuesday, August 3, 2027, at 5 p.m. Mountain Time. After that, any rooms left go back to the hotel.

Teton Village or the town of Jackson?

Our room block and the other hotels we recommend are in Teton Village, at the base of the ski mountain. The town of Jackson has more restaurants and shops and is a little closer to the venue. Both work well.

How far is the venue?

Snake River Sporting Club is in the Snake River canyon, about 30 to 40 minutes south of town and about 45 to 55 minutes from Teton Village.

What should I wear?

We'll share attire with the invitation. Whatever you choose, plan for a cool evening outdoors.
